The world is full of amazing literature and for us to read the majority of it, we need translators. In partnership with the ITEF, The Bosphorus Review of Books is putting on a panel of translators who, through their tireless work, have brought the joys of Turkish literature to so many people. The panel will include three of the finest Turkish to English translators: Zeynep Beler, whose work includes translations of Ece Temelkuran and Hakan Günday; Alexander Dave, translator of the legendary Time Regulation Institute, Sabahattin Ali, Sait Faik Abasıyanık and far more; and, last but not least, Ümit Hussein, translator for Burhan Sönmez and Ayşe Önal. Luke Frostrick, editor of the Bosphorus Review of Books, will be moderating.
This event will be held in English, no simultaneous or consecutive translation.
