Andréas Lang explores memory and history in Turkey through his photography series “Broken Memories,” uncovering layers of historical inscriptions that create a collective memory but are rendered invisible. Lang’s visual archeology method reveals different layers of history, blending the imaginary with the social, political and ecological realities. The exhibition is curated by Refik Akyüz and Serdar Darendeliler and will be accompanied by a book to be published in May by Kerber Verlag.
