Cost is $2000. There are a limited number of scholarships based on need and merit.

The Koç University Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations will again conduct an in-depth summer programme developed by world-renowned Ottoman and Byzantine academics. Surrounded by the dramatic volcanic landscapes of Nevşehir, participants will work to contextualise the cultural heritage of Byzantine and post-Byzantine Cappadocia. The area has a wealth of material, including more than a thousand rock-cut churches and chapels alongside monasteries, houses, villages, towns, cemeteries and fortresses.

The program will be delivered by Cornucopia contributor Professor Robert Ousterhout from the University of Pennsylvania and Dr Tolga Uyar from Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş University. Applications are due on April 16, 2018.

This programme is only open to graduate-level students. Get more information about how to apply by clicking here.
