About a third of Canada's 45,000 Turkish population live in the country's largest city, and there are a number of Turkish social and cultural organisations. The Turkish Festival in Toronto takes place in August, and every year there is a Noah's Pudding Campaign when dishes of ashure are distributed around the country. A recent addition to the city's cultural scene is  the Agha Khan Museum on the site of the Modernist Bata shoe factory.
