This is Pilevneli’s second solo exhibition of the Paris-based multi-disciplinary artist Arik Levy.
Described as ‘designer, technician, artist, photographer and maker’, Levy was born in Tel Aviv in 1963 and studied industrial design at the Art Center College of Design in Switzerland before ‘consolidateing his ideas in Japan. For examples of his work, see the Dezeen website.
In Emotional Equity, Levy focuses on nature and interactions through the lens of a visual designer and correlates human relationships and social codes utilising natural forms and shapes.
Emotional Equity presents sculptures inspired by minerals, rocks, crystals, stones and various other forms of nature but it sets out to chart a more internal, human journey. Visitors are invited to explore and respond to images that powerfully evoke order, both natural and internal.
