- What’s On
In Azade Köker’s fourth solo show at Galeri Zilberman, she presents images of nature that show signs of human intervention. By repeating these forms through surface layering and reprocessing, she deconstructs the integrity and legibility of the image.
As a whole, the exhibition focuses on boundaries that have become increasingly blurry and meaningless. By representing ambiguous natural spaces in her paintings, Köker emphasises the political boundaries that are being rendered insignificant by today’s wars, which she sees as harbingers of future natural disasters. According to the artist, she’s ‘not able to see the forest because of the trees’.
Her show will take place in the gallery’s main space. The opening will be held on Friday, September 30, 18.30–20.30.
