Feyhaman Duran: Between Two Worlds

January 12, 2017 – July 30, 2017

Sakıp Sabancı Museum, Sakıp Sabancı Cad 42, Emirgan 34467 Istanbul

The first major retrospective of one of Turkey’s best-loved painters. Feyhaman Duran (1886–1970) was part of the 1914 Generation, a group of artists whose careers spanned the end of the Ottoman era and the dawn of the Republic. The exhibition features in the new Cornucopia, No 55. Also see Maureen Freely’s moving tribute to Feyhaman and his wife and fellow artist Güzin, with photographs of the artists’ house and studio by Fritz von der Schulenburg (Cornucopia 42).
