- What’s On
The Estonian ensemble Hortus Musicus, established in 1972 by violinist Andres Mustonen, will kick off the 12th year of the Istanbul Bach Days on Friday, October 2. Specialising in performing early music, Hortus Musicus dazzles audiences with a repertoire that ranges from the 8th to the 20th century.
Istanbul Bach Days is acclaimed for bringing some of classical music’s biggest names to Istanbul. This particular performance, though, is much anticipated not just because of the unique sound of Hortus Musicus, but also because they will be performing at the brilliant Naval Museum – the first concert of this kind to be held at this location.
