Selma Gürbüz

September 13, 2017 – November 12, 2017

Atelier 2, Firuzağa Mahallesi, Boğazkesen Caddesi No:76, Beyoğlu/Istanbul

Inspired by a trip the artist took to Kanha National Park in India, artist Selma Gürbüz creates a mysterious and magical world with lush and lively paintings. Her work reflects the texture of Indian endemic flora such as bonsais, chicories, tropical trees and fruits. She also often re-appropriates images of iconic women from art history, such as Mona Lisa and the Girl with a Pearl Earring.
