- What’s On
This group exhibition curated by the winner of the International Curator Competition 2014, Niekolaas Johannes Lekkerkerk, examines processes of mattering and sonic resonance contained by and inherent to material substances.
Works span a variety of mediums, from video to installation to painting, and range from the conceptual to the more practical. The French artist Camille Henrot’s ‘encyclopaedic’ video Grosse Fatigue, for instance, attempts to tell the story of the universe’s creation from a desktop computer using the collection of the Smithsonian Institute. She received the Silver Lion at the 55th Venice Biennale for the work.
The other exhibited artists are: A Kassen, Juliette Bonneviot, Nina Canell, Nicolas Deshayes, Kevin Gallagher, Paul Geelen, Carlos Irijalba, Rachel de Joode, Fran Meana, Alexandra Navratil, Katja Novitskova, Angela de Weijer and Müge Yılmaz.
