An unconventional offering from the Istanbul Music Festival by the astonishingly talented Turkish pianist AyşeDeniz Gökçin (a child prodigy who appeared in Cornucopia 19 at the age of 11), who will be performing her arrangements of Pink Floyd’s best-known songs.

Gökçin was inspired by the 19th-century Hungarian composer – truly the rock star of his generation (he was know for his rather bravura arrangements and heady lifestyle) – as well as Pink Floyd’s co-lead vocalist and songwriter David Gilmour and co-vocalist and bassist Roger Water. A step away from her usual repertoire of Bach, Schubert, Mozart, Chopin and Beethoven, Gökçin brings new meaning to the term ‘classical rock star’.
