Poetry of Stones, ANI: An Architectural Treasure on Cultural Crossroads

March 13, 2018 – April 29, 2018

DEPO, Tütün Deposu, Lüleci Hendek Caddesi No.12, Tophane, Istanbul

The focus of this exhibition is on the splendour of Ani, the ruined city on the Turkish-Armenian border that flourished in the 11th century. As experts from Turkey and Armenia work together in an ongoing effort to save the architectural heritage in and around Ani, it’s important to stay focused on the rich intermingling of history present in the site. This exhibition includes collaboration from Anadolu Kültür, Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) and Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research (NIKU). There will be an accompanying panel discussion about Ani on Wednesday, March 14 at 6:30pm in Cezayir.
