Hosted by Spoken Word Istanbul and Bosphorus Review of Books, Poetry Slam Istanbul is an open mic poetry event where anyone can participate.
The show has 2 sets. One regular Open Mic Set, and a Slam Competition Set. You can sign up to either one of them or both at the venue at 18:30 In both sets we have a time limit of 3 minutes.
The Open Mic Set is where you can read or recite any poem. In the slam competition, your poems are going to be scored by random judges from the audience. The winner gets a prize. During the show we also will have games in which the audience can participate in.
The aim is to bring entertainment and poetry together, create a space where everyone can share and listen unique poetry.
