Seyhun Topuz, 1971–2013

A Selection from 42 Years

October 24, 2013 – December 27, 2013

A retrospective on Turkish artist Seyhun Topuz, who has been sculpting abstract forms since the 1970s, is being staged in Maslak’s spacious Proje4L/Elgiz Museum. In her illustrious career (Topuz exhibited at the first-ever Istanbul Biennial), Topuz has always favoured basic geometrical forms such as the triangle, the square and the circle. She chooses one of these basic forms and explores its possibilities through the construction of sizeable iron pieces.
