Come and join a celebration of living literature. Five of the Borders’ finest poets, writers and makars join to perform selected short works made entirely of words! Poems, scripts, fragments, fictions – expect the unexpected! Meet Robert Leach (Selkirk), Ali Millar (Roxburgh), Tom Murray (Selkirk), Jules Horne (Hawick) and Brian Holton (Galashiels) for a cornucopia of new writing, spoken word, and (it’s rumoured) some music, too. Books to buy, tea, biscuits, good company. Free event.

Brian Holton, poet, translator, musician has been called “the foremost translator from Chinese of his generation.” The Scotsman

Jules Horne, playwright, fiction writer, has won two Scotsman Edinburgh Fringe Firsts for her stage plays.

Robert Leach, poet, academic, publisher, theatre director, is a Russian specialist and author of the Routledge History of British Theatre.

Ali Millar, fiction and non-fiction writer, has an MA with distinction in Creative Writing, and has had her work published in a number of journals.

Tom Murray, poet, playwright, fiction writer, is Creative Writing Fellow to Tyne & Esk Writers and former editor of Eildon Tree magazine.
