The Flood

Emi̇n Mete Erdoğan

March 7, 2018 – April 7, 2018

x-ist, Abdi İpekçi Caddesi, Kaşıkçıoğlu Apt. No. 42 D.2, Nişantaşı, Istanbul

The second solo show by Emi̇n Mete Erdoğan at x-ist delves deep into the apocalyptic. The artist explores what the world would be like if the Great Flood happened today, a mythic event that represents both an annihilation and a cleansing. He ties the biblical story to modern-day global warming and the potential environmental devastation that’s to come. Erdoğan will be displaying sculptures and reliefs made of polyester casting alongside work created with canvas, aluminium, acrylic on paper and ink.
