- What’s On
In literature, what is left unsaid often says a lot. What the author choses to leave out highlights not only the author’s intention but also points to the genre and style of the text. One of the masters of Turkish literature, Oya Baydar (who penned 2011’s The Lost Word tackling the often sensitive subject of Turkish-Kurdish relations) and Austrian author Andrea Winkler discuss the techniques writers use to tell elements of a story without saying anything. They also ponder on whether the dialogue created between the author and the reader is simply an illusion.
The event will be in Turkish with consecutive English translation.
