For 30 years the Swiss artist Ursula Soltermann Katipoğlu has lived in Istanbul. She would describe herself as a landscape artist, but leans clearly to pure abstraction. Following four years of sadness since the loss of her husband artist Yusuf Katipoğlu, intensified by the isolation of Covid, the artist has emerged defiantly with a wonderfully life-affirming feast of colour.
