Ankara Rahmi M. Koç Müzesi , Necatibey Mahallesi, Depo Sokak No: 1 Altındağ, Ankara

A new exhibition in Ankara delves into the impact of camlet (sof) fabric on the history of the city. Produced from the mohair of an Ankara goat, camlet played a significant role in the economic and social history of the city and connected Ankara to the other great trade hubs in the world. This exhibition showcases examples of camlet fabric and mohair artefacts pulled from the collections of the Ankara Ethnography Museum, the Sadberk Hanım Museum and the Topkapı Palace Museum.

Also on display in ‘View of Ankara’, an 18th-century painting on loan from the Rijksmuseum.
