Its all go on the textile front these days, with the first LARTA fair going off with a bang back in March and ICOC XII beckoning us to Stockholm in due course. Come June 12 this year's winner of the Arts Diary Prize for Best Acronym (Carpets Event Category), The Original London Antique Textiles, Carpets and Tribal Art Fair (OLATCTAF), will be hosting a wide range of dealers and their usual mind-boggling selection of unique carpets, clothes and cloth. Central Asia and the Near and Middle East are of course well represented at such events but OLATCTAF also brings together dealers from as far afield as Japan and Africa, and wares from much closer to home too.  The 18th Century French wool and silk embroidered fire screen pictured here is courtesy of Markus Voigt and is listed on his website at £950. Public entry begins at 10.30 and costs £5 Sunday June 12, 2011 Olympia Hilton Hotel 380 Kensington High Street London W14 8NL
