Dirimart is hosting the group exhibition Ad Infinitum, which is curate by Ceren Erdem and features the works of Ayşe Erkmen, Lucia Koch, Alicja Kwade, Sarah Morris, Sarkis, Taldans, Nasan Tur, Ebru Uygun and Jorinde Voigt. Meaning ‘infinite repetition’, Ad Infinitum explores continuity and rhythm: the patterns we feel, we know, we are taught, from the breathing of organic and inorganic matters to the spinning of their atomic particles, from heart beat to cosmic motions, are combined polyphonically, becoming systems that construct reality and simulacra.
Within this context, the Dirimart gallery becomes re-imagined as a new, living organism. The components and characteristics of the gallery – the space, the city, the architecture, the language, etc. – become their own rhythmic units while also being the whole environment.
