On 10 February, the Anglo-Turkish Society is hosting an online lecture by professor emeritus Virginia H. Aksan on the transformation of the Ottoman Empire into a colonial client of other European powers. Aksan will focus on three military figures to explore this change: Hüsrev Pasha, Ömer Pasha and Mahmud Şevket Pasha.
