Once again Istanbul’s Beykoz Kundura will host A Midsummer Summer Night Festival organized by Kundura Cinema and Sahne. Since the summer of 2017, this culture-oriented encounter experience has grown and blossomed into a multimedia film, music, and performance festival.
The “A Midsummer’s Night Festival” will feature a diverse range of films, including classic films, documentaries, award-winning projects, and silent film screenings with live accompaniment.
The “A Midsummer’s Night Stage” will feature the greatest in jazz, electronic, and experimental music, as well as five fascinating films, including “Suffragette,” which chronicles the tale of the women who started one of the earliest women’s movements in history. Kundura also invites artists who have written music for several films and television programs to perform on its stage productions.
One such performance is that of Islandman.
Islandman plays in a live electro-acoustic trio configuration on stage. Their music is a unique blend of calm electronic structures and dance beats with spacey live guitars.
