- What’s On
Liverpool-born, Goldsmiths graduate Paul Morrison is a well-known name in his native England and now Istanbul audiences can get a taste for his large monochromatic botanical landscapes.
Morrison creates what is known as ‘cognitive landscapes’ in his works. He paints all his images with two coats of acrylic paint. They are then scanned into a computer, manipulated and projected onto the canvas. The different elements tend to be disproportionate in size: tiny plants become huge, while massive trees shrink. Thus the ‘cognitive landscape’.
