Carsten Nicolai: Strange Attractors

April 4, 2015 – August 23, 2015

Borusan Contemporary, Rumelihisarı Mahallesi, Baltalimanı Hisar Caddesi No 5, Perili Köşk, 34470 Sarıyer – Istanbul

Berlin-based artist Carsten Nicolai uses scientific models to explore natural phenomena that surround us in our everyday lives. At its core, this exhibition, curated by Kathleen Forde, curator at large at Borusan, transforms the space into a laboratory-like environment of elemental snow crystals and clouds.

Nicolai’s aesthetic is characteristically minimal, yet the content is inspired by nature.
