Taking its name from Hannah Höch’s 1919 work ‘Cut with the Kitchen Knife through the Beer-Belly of the Weimar Republic’, which criticised the Weimar administration, this group exhibition pays tribute to the Dadaist art movement on its centenary.

Collages, paintings, typographic installations, photomontages, mechanic mannequins and documentation of performances in public spaces by Esra Carus, Ahmet Vehbi Doğramacı, Fırat Engin, Özge Enginöz, Erol Eskici, Eda Gecikmez, Murat Gök, Şakir Gökçebağ, Hakan Gürsoytrak, Naci Güneş Güven, Yahya M Madra, Meltem Sırtıkara, Esin Turan, Eric Andersen and Canan Beykal explore this powerful anti-war movement and its influence on artists and intellectuals between 1915 and 1923.
