- What’s On
This exhibition brings together artworks from three private, independent collections in order to publicly share these works and open up a dialogue about collecting art.
The works come from the collections of Haro Cümbüşyan, Saruhan Doğan and Agah Uğur that they have built with their partners over the past decade. Comprised local and international artworks, the exhibition showcases a selection of some of the most powerful and confronting choices made by the collectors: included are works that are socially critical, political and sometimes disturbing. The collections also feature works that are hard to display, such as video, audio, book installations and film and slide projections.
The exhibition takes place in two stages. It opens in the Forum area on April 21 and continues until May 17. This is followed by a multifaceted exhibition opening on the second and third floors on June 9 and continuing until August 2.
