Focusing on the lighthouses on Ouessant Island and in the Finistére region of France, Ali Kazma’s latest video work investigates the bonds between time, space and geography. In Kazma’s videos, nature and man intersect at the border between land and water.

This project was shot throughout March and April of 2018 and draws on the artist’s long-term fascination with lighthouses. The surrounding geography in its rugged beauty also features prominently.
