Green Tales of Turkey

In collaboration with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Istanbul, Nadas Istanbul, which is , is inviting film lovers for an online screening of ‘Green Tales of the City’ - an international documentary directed by Gwen Jansen that portrays a series of ‘green stories’ taking place in the Netherlands. The film follows several people working in government / business / knowledge institutions and NGO’s, to create valuable and innovative green projects in the city and to inspire as many people as possible to take action.

The screening will be preceded by snap-shot presentations from ‘green tales’ of Istanbul as well as an introduction by the film director, Gwen Jansen. The presenters include;

Kokopelli Şehirde - a space for adults and children to experience and learn about ecology and sustainable living. Kent Çiftçisi - the story of the family that strives to live sustainably and self-sufficiently in the city. Sıfır Çöp Platformu - a zero waste platform dedicated to reducing waste, using resources responsibly and supporting environmentally friendly alternatives. Orman6 - a team dedicated to teaching permaculture and regenerative skills.

Programme 19.00 – 19.40: snapshot presentations from ‘green tales’ of Istanbul, including Kokopelli Şehirde, Sifir Çöp Platformu (Zero Waste Platform), Kent Çiftçisi (Urban Farmer), and Orman6 19.40 – 20.00: introduction by film director, Gwen Jansen 20.00 – 21.20: Green Tales of the City film screening (1hr 20min) 21.20 – 22.00: Discussion

Entrance is free Talks will take place in English. The film has both Turkish and English subtitles.
