- What’s On
One of Istanbul’s special annual events returns this autumn with a new line up of virtuosos. Istanbul Recitals brings some of the best classical musicians to The Seed, in the gardens of the Sakıp Sabancı Museum. Exhibitions remain open late for concertgoers and the venue itself is a magical place to experience these truly excellent concerts.
The legendary Russian pianist Nikolai Demidenko will perform works by Schubert, Liszt, Scriabin and Prokofiev. A master of the Russian school of playing, he is renowned for his authoritative performances of the Russian concerto repertoire such as Prokofiev, Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky.
