- What’s On
Ayhan Ayyıldız’s tongue-in-cheek works explore the perversion of capitalism. The show tells a fictional story based on historical facts that the uniforms of the Turkish Army were designed by Chanel, whilst those of the German SS were made by Hugo Boss, from the 1930s onwards. In Ayyıldız’s imagined narrative, Louis Vuitton does a brand makeover for the American Army as requested by the president and a flagship LV store opens at the White House. The striking, colourful works highlight how the interests of companies cause wars and the consequent dangers involved.
