For the 3rd consecutive year, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü - London joins London Craft Week with a new set of interesting workshops with a focus on Tezhip (Islamic Illumination).
This year London Craft Week has over 250 participants and supporters who aid their vision of celebrating British and international creativity. We are once again super excited to be a part of this internationally inclusive project.
For the first ten days of October, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London is offering students working at home 10 workshops with the artist Nagihan Seymour exploring geometric and floral patterns used in tezhip, the traditional Ottoman art of Illumination. Four different patterns from the Ottoman and Seljuks traditions are covered.
