- What’s On
An exhibition of jewellery by the late Loulou de la Falaise, Yves Saint Lauren muse’s, fashion icon and accessories designer. Alongside the jewellery, a selection of photographs from the book Loulou de la Falaise, edited by Ariel de Ravenel, who’s also the executive of the Loulou de la Falaise’s jewellery collection, will be displayed. Ravenel will also be present at the opening night on Wednesday, April 29, from 7pm, where she will sign copies of the book.
Renowned for her bohemian chic style and her wit, de la Falaise was not only an influential fashion muse, but also an elegant pixie of Parisian haute couture. The Anglo-French de la Falaise assisted the designer Halston and modelled briefly for Vogue before moving to Paris in 1972 to work alongside Yves Saint Laurent. A true original, Loulou’s sense of colour and fantasy and her soigné attitude would inspire the designer for over 30 years.
