- What’s On
Drawing from an open call for young curators, this project is curated by Burcu Bilir and features six artists grappling with urbanisation, identity and power concepts in various mediums. Blackbox aims to make the unseen visible and concentrate on current social problems.
Murat Han Er’s digital photos track the changing image of the city with alternative print techniques. Using an interdisciplinary approach, Zehra Doğan examines the conventional urban image. Haydar Akdağ employs sewing and collage techniques to study borders. In contrast, Burcu Pek attempts to destroy those borders with her collages. Beste Kopuz scrutinizes the compression between spaces. Volkan Parlak uses communication objects to comment on invisible control mechanisms.
