- What’s On
The June line-up at Nardis is full of old favourites and interesting newcomers. Here are some of the highlights:
In early June, be sure to attend the performance of pianist and composer Tolga Erzurumlu, who has consistently won awards for his jazz compositions and performances.
Mid-June, check out the Dolce Jazz Vocal Group is another delight, singing harmonic arrangements of a variety of genres, ranging from the songs of the Andrews Sisters to musicals and the group’s own arrangements. Their perforance will feature Yahya Dai on tenor sax, accompanied by Berkay Toprak on piano, Murat Ulus on bass and Burak Durman on drums.
Finally, at the end of June, the Tahsin Ünüvar Quartet will be performing in tribute to their close friend, movie producer Asaf Özpetek who passed away in July 2018. Having lived in London for the last 10 years, this is their first performance in Istanbul after a very long time.
Make sure to check the Nardis website for their full programme. Bookings are generally strongly recommended.
