Perception Machine

March 6, 2014 – April 12, 2014

ALAN Istanbul, Asmalı Mescid Caddesi No. 5/2, Tünel, Beyoğlu

An exhibition focusing on three Turkish artists – Bahadır Çolak, Ceylan Öztürk and Sevgi Kesmen – who bring together visual abstractions and works related to the gallery’s architectural and spatial structure.

The exhibition takes its conceptual theme from Plato’s words: ‘Let no one ignorant of geometry enter here’, which was engraved on a plaque outside his school. As architects and designers think about plans and structures, how can one – within an artistic dialogue – respond to this geometrical order which characterises the modern cities in which we live?

Prices range from $5,000 to $15,000
