Organised by ARTER on the occasion of the exhibition On Celestial Bodies, this online talk by Elizabeth Grosz will address the writings of Raymond Ruyer, a contemporary of Gilbert Simondon and a strong influence on the writings of Gilles Deleuze. The event will provide a broad introduction to Ruyer’s writings on ”embryogenesis”, a concept he uses to address how sub-atomic, atomic and molecular forms create themselves, and on which all forms of life must capitalise in order to create themselves.
