Anna Laudel, Bankalar Caddesi No. 10, Karaköy, Beyoğlu

This exhibition brings together a selection of works by three distinct artists sharing common themes of relocation, ironic social references, and personal histories.

German artist Ruth Biller’s work is presented with the theme ‘VisaVis’ and poses the question, ‘Why am I here?’ Her pieces engage with the contemporary issue of needing a visa to travel and the dialogue this creates between countries.

The works by Jan Kuck, also from Germany, is subtitles ‘History of Now’ and utilises different materials including cement, mirrors, neon lights, wood and glass. His pieces point out the wit and tragedy behind contemporary issues.

Turkish artist Serkan Küçüközcü’s work has the theme ‘Daydreaming’. His paintings, present familiar objects in huge sizes and placed in irrelevant spaces, to play with our perception of space and object.
