Taking Shape

David Taylor

March 19, 2015 – April 25, 2015

SODA, Şakayık Sokak No. 37/1, Teşvikiye, Nişantaşı

The first solo show of the Scottish designer and silversmith David Taylor in Istanbul showcases the artist’s signature brand of ingenious guerilla-art. Junk meets elegance in his interior products: candlestick holders are made out of concrete and quartz, vases are made out of recycled wood and silver. Both pretty and ugly, functional and impractical, Taylor questions our consumption culture and conservation methods with his art.

Prices range from €600 to €2,000.
