Osman Dinç

January 11, 2014 – February 22, 2014

Pi Artworks Istanbul, Kemankeş Karamustafa Paşa Mahallesi, Mumhane Caddesi No. 48, Beyoğlu

Turkish, Paris-based artist Osman Dinç creates ‘figurative works that tell their own stories’ in various materials, including metal, glass, iron, wood and concrete. All works are for sale and range between €2,000 and €20,000.

Dinç’s art is described as something between Arte Povera and minimalism. The artist says: ‘Sculpture is a three-dimensional examination of real space…Gravity, balance, suitability and durability of material are all brought together through this medium.’ This exhibition derives its name from the term ‘theorem’, and with the displayed works, Dinç is commenting on the cause-and-effect relationship that his works have with their original source. Above all, his smooth sculptures are very easy on the eye.
