Turan Aksoy’s new solo exhibition Dissymmetrical is based on the feelings of ‘slowness, stopping to look, waiting’; these feelings are the artist’s reaction to, and interpretation of, time. Aksoy was inspired by living on the island of Cyprus, where the geography contributed towards feelings of ’ “slowness and loneliness’; the exhibition includes a selection of Aksoy’s works which translate these sensibilities into images of ‘isolated, desolated and devoiced world’.
