- What’s On
Head to Nadas in Kadiköy for a stunning photography exhibition by photographer and writer Katie Nadworny. Inspired by light and the changing season, Nadworny shot portraits of people and flowers over the span of a year and fused them together.
Shooting with film is a way of playing with time, both beholden to and held by the inevitability of days passing. Every image in this exhibition is a time capsule of two distinct moments. Nadworny shot all these portraits at Nadas over two separate days in October and November 2018; the doubles were shot throughout the year in Los Angeles, in Istanbul, and in a sunflower field in Kuyucak.
Revel in the beauty and messiness of the photographs, and remember: control is an illusion, and the most beautiful things come from letting go of it.
