Virtual Landscapes

Ali Alışır

December 19, 2014 – January 17, 2015

Bozlu Art Project Nişantaşı, Teşvikiye Cad 145/1, İsmet Apartmanı D1 (opposite the City’s shopping centre), Nişantaşı, Istanbul

Combining photography and painting, the Turkish artist Ali Alışır creates wonderfully detailed works that examine the dichotomy between reality and virtuality. Also fascinated with nature and modern humanity’s treatment of it, Alışır uses the image of a tree, which symbolises an ancient knowledge of life, to examine current political and sociological concepts and images.
