Nikos Michailidis will give a talk about his recent book on the little-known subject of volunteers in Greece from Istanbul during World War II. These volunteers included graduates of Robert College (one of whom left a personal diary), Greek-speaking Jewish and Catholic minorities from Turkey and many more. Michailidis had the opportunity to interview over 100 people, including the few surviving volunteers and immediate relatives of those who are now deceased.
