- What’s On
The first solo show of the ceramic artist Melis Buyruk. Most of the artist’s artworks are ‘plates’, but rather than renouncing the plate’s purpose and taking refuge in readymade, Buyruk approaches her work from a design angle. She highlights the relationship between functionality and beauty with symbols such as lips, flowers and gold, describing the approach as ‘ornament and its commonplaceness’.
