Alice Carswell (1966–2001)

Alice had a passionate interest in natural history. She obtained a geography degree from St Andrew’s University, and then set off to Istanbul where she taught English at Bosphorus University. Alice fell in love with Turkey and spent 10 very happy years there involved in various environmental projects. She died in 2001
