Alistair McAlpine (1942–2014)

Collector and bon vivant, Alistair Macalpine wrote books as well as a column for The World of Interiors . He founded his own publishing house in London in the 1960s, and was variously an art dealer, collector, member of the Arts Council, zookeeper, gardener and traveller.
