Alev Ebüzziya Siesbye’s ceramic production has been produced for nearly sixty years and has become her signature. The bowls were made using the spiral method, the oldest technique used in ceramic production, and a wooden foot lathe. These bowls are extremely strong, they are fired under very high temperature and have the stability of a rock. They are characterized by density and lightness and can symbolise the delicate balance between fragility strength and serenity.
