This exhibition tells the story of the birth of modern theatre in Turkey through the personal archive of photographs, manuscripts and printed texts belonging to the actor and publisher Hagop Ayvaz, who died in 2006. Kulis was the name of the magazine that he published from 1946 to 1996. The entire collection of some 600 manuscripts and 12,000 posters, photographs, cuttings, invitations, drawings and postcards was left to Argos newspaper. The exhibition has been prepared he Hrant Dink Foundation in collaboration with the Theatre Foundation of Turkey and Yapı Kredi Culture.
