The exhibition “Here Fairytales…” challenges the notion that fairy tales are only for children by exploring their relevance to current issues. Artists Ayşe Bezenmiş and Leo Ferdinando Demetz bring a critical perspective to their collaborative exhibition, using different artistic mediums. Bezenmiş’s pencil artworks depict fairy tale figures intertwined with contemporary societal and political themes, while Demetz brings fairy tale characters to life through lime tree sculptures that carry profound meanings. Through their art, both artists invite viewers to question and reflect on the complexities of our world and find connections to these timeless tales.
